Bagels

Remember the days where you used to lather full-fat cream cheese on a full-fat Montreal-style bagel? Good news! Use the two-ingredient dough to make your favourite bagels for a guilt-free snack. Feeling flavourful? Add a dash of cinnamon and handful of raisins for a sweet treat or keep it classy and top with sesame seeds. Recipe yields four bagels.

Materials
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup non-fat Greek Yogurt
  • desired toppings or add-ons

Prep & Baking Instructions:

  1. Mix your ingredients in a bowl until it’s a crumbly consistency. Continue to mix the dough with your hands, kneading it into a ball.
  2. Separate the dough into four equal parts, rolling into balls, then into ropes.
  3. Attach the ends, creating a bagel shape and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake on the top rack at 375 F for 25 minutes.
  5. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting into the bagels. Enjoy!

Quick Tips:

  • If your dough is sticky, add a little more flour.
  • The bagels expand while baking so leave a little wiggle room between each one.
  • Brush on a light egg wash before baking to get a more shiny, golden brown finish.
