DIY Festival Ready Tool Belt

Asset 2

Festival season is in full gear this summer, and we've got the perfect DIY to make sure that you never forget your festival essentials! With thisfestival-ready tool belt, you'll be able to carry everything you need to have a great time, without the burden of feeling like you have to carry a giant backpack. Necessities are always key, right?

STEP 1: To get started, you will need to download the free envelope clutch pattern here! For this printable, you will need to print it out on 6 sheets of paper so you have the proper size for your clutch. Tape all the sheets together so the pattern of the envelope lines up, and cut out the pattern for you to trade.

STEP 2: Using a wax pencil, trace the print out pattern on a 14″ x 16″ faux leather sheet. Then, using a fabric scissor, cut out the outline of your envelope clutch.

STEP 3: Using craft glue, glue a line along the edge of the bottom flap of the envelope. Fold over the two corners from the side inward, and then fold the bottom corner on top to create the envelope. Hold it until it has fully dried.

STEP 4: Once the glue has dried, use a leather punch to create one small hole on the flap of the envelope. Use a craft knife to cut it completely out. Repeat the same step for the top flap that will fold over to close the envelope.

STEP 5: Using a brass screw back stud, screw it onto the first hole of the envelope as to create the close stud for the envelope. The second hole you created should line up with with the brass stud so you can close the envelope securely.

STEP 6: Turn the envelope over, and using a fabric scissor, cut two slits on the back approximately 2.5 inches for you to slide in your belt. Slide on your belt, and you’re good to go!
