Mules are the perfect shoe for summer, so today on Slide Hustle, Enocha is taking her mules to the next level. This fashion DIY is ridiculously easy to do and can take your shoe from plain to fabulous in less that 5 minutes. It's time to give these shoes a little more personality with some pretty appliques!
Mules are making a serious splash in summer fashion and for good reason! They’re comfortable, classic, and totally chic. But fancy, embellished shoes can often cost a pretty penny. Luckily, making your own custom version is just as gorgeous, way more affordable, and as easy as 1-2-3!
Step 1. Position your applique on the shoe surface. Make sure you like the position on both feet and that the placements complement eachother. It would be a bummer to have one applique go on perfectly straight and have the other one not match up with angle or height!
Step 2. Place fabric glue directly on the patch, and place it on the shoe.
Step 3. Hold for a few seconds until glue dries! Yup, that’s really it!
Miss Enocha found this gorgeous pre-made appliqué at the fabric store, but if you can’t find one you love you can always make your own!
To Make Your Own Appliqué:
Step 1: Place some gems on a piece of mesh fabric. You can use tweezers to adjust your design until you are totally in love with the look and layout.
Step 2: Glue your gems onto the mesh using a small amount of fabric glue. You can even see if the fabric store has glue that matches the color of your gems and fabric so it blends in!
Step 3: Cut around the edges of the gems, and voila, you have your very own custom appliqué!
