Tis the Season for a DIY Mason Jar Snow Globe

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Embrace the spirit of the season with this super easy DIY mason jar snow globe! This festive staple is the perfect little touch of holiday spirit on your desk at the office, at home as a unique table centerpiece, or as a thoughtful gift for family and friends.

  • 1 tsp glycerin
  • 2 tsp glitter
  • 2-4 miniature trinkets
  • 16 oz. Mason jar
  • Hot glue gun or glue dots
  • Twine or ribbon
  • Water
  • Spoon

Regardless of what you choose, you'll love capturing the spirit of the season with this super easy DIY mason jar snow globe.


Step 1:

Glue miniature trees (or any mini trinkets of your choice) to the base of the mason jar’s lid with a hot glue gun. For longer-lasting results, use glue dots.

Step 2:

Fill the Mason jar with water.

Step 3:

Stir 1 teaspoon of glycerin into the Mason jar.

Step 4:

Add 2 teaspoons of glitter into the Mason jar and stir.

Step 5:

Screw your mason jar lid onto the jar. Make sure it’s nice and tight!

Step 6:

Tie a strand of twine or ribbon along the sides of the lid for a touch of holiday spirit.

Step 7:

Shake your mason jar snow globe and watch the magic happen!
