Try This Easy Peasy Cocktail Recipe

Looking to entertain your pals, but falling short on which tasty cocktail to serve? We've got your covered with these this easy peasy recipe!

Step 1: First, let’s sugar the rim! To get the thick frosted sugared rim like we did, cut a thick wedge of lemon and make a deep cut down the middle of the wedge, almost to the rind. Run the wedge around the edge of your glass so that a thick line of lemon juice appears around the rim. Then take a spoonful of sugar (it helps the medicine go down, after all) and, holding the glass over a bowl or plate to catch the fallen sugar, dust the sugar over the wet lemon, turning the glass as you go. Do this both to the interior and exterior of the glass. The trick with sugaring and salting rims is to work quickly before the juice dries, and then to let the sugar set for a few minutes. Then it stays put even if you spill your sidecar when you pour! (Especially helpful if it’s your second one of the night. *wink wink*) Step 2: In a cocktail shaker over a few cubes of ice, add 2 oz cognac, 2 oz triple sec or other orange liquor, juice of one lemon, and a teaspoon of sugar. Shake to mix thoroughly. Step 3: Pour into your sugared glass and garnish with a twist of lemon! You’re all done!Show us how you try your own sidecar by tagging us @BeMakeful!
