Cotton Candy Cocktail | Bottoms Up

Asset 2

You know a cocktail is good when it tastes just like candy. However, you can make it even better if you actually add candy! On today's episode of Bottoms Up with Whitney Adams, we're taking you back to your childhood with cotton candy. Complete with some edible sparkle, this super sweet cotton candy cocktail is perfect for a girl's night in.

Champagne. Cotton candy. Edible glitter and gold. What more can you ask for in a perfect decadent and glitzy cocktail? Here’s how Whitney Adams is going to show you how to make the magic happen.

Step 1: Grab your shaker and make sure that you have it half way filled with ice. Start off by adding one shot of your favorite vodka.Step 2: Add 1/2 shot of lemon juice to your mix, and shake your shaker away. Once you’ve noticed that the condensation has gotten all over the shaker, that’s a good indicator that the cocktail has mixed well enough with the ice.

Step 3: Pour your cocktail mix in a martini glass.

Step 4: For a French 75, you would usually add simple syrup in the shaker to give the cocktail a sweet flavor to mix with the lemon juice, however, this drink is far from just simple. To replace the syrup that would be regularly added to this drink, we will be adding cotton candy to the top of the martini glass. You can add as little or as much as you’d like.

Step 5: From here, it’s time to get even fancier. It’s time to add your edible glitter and edible gold leaf to the cotton candy for an extra ounce of pizzaz.

Step 6: Once you are ready to serve your decadent and beautiful cocktail, have your champagne ready. We know that champagne can get expensive, so for this cocktail, we opted for sparkling rosé which does the trick just as well as champagne. Add 2 ounces of champagne to the mix and you will see that the cotton candy will melt into the martini glass and turn the entire drink pink. Trust us that it tastes just as good as it looks, if not better!

And there you have it – a quick and easy way for you to impress your friends and guests with a new spin on a French 75 cocktail with cotton candy!
