As an only child who had to entertain herself a lot, Kelsey has always been a DIY fanatic! She grew up half beach bum in San Diego, CA, and half country bumpkin in Colorado Springs, CO. When she's not living the dream DIY-ing with Makeful, you can see her pop up on TV once in awhile on shows like 'Modern Family' and 'New Girl'!
What could possibly make a delicious, swirly, chocolate and vanilla milkshake better you ask? How 'bout a little kick of boozy Bailey's? Yeah, we thought so, too. Raise a glass to St. Patrick with this easy adult milkshake recipe!
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream, you can also use mint chocolate chip!
- 1 cup chocolate milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate sauce, use hot fudge sauce if you like thicker shakes!
- 1 cup (8 oz) Bailey's Irish Creme, less or more depending on how boozy you want the shakes to be!
- whipped cream, for topping
- green sprinkles, (optional)
This decadent drinkable dessert calls for a sweet mixture of chocolate and vanilla flavors with the perfect kick of boozy Bailey's Irish Creme. Serve 'em up to celebrate St. Patricks Day, or any day or the year for that matter! And all with a simple touch of a button.
Step 1: Combine ice cream, chocolate milk, chocolate sauce, and Bailey's Irish Creme in your blender. Pulse a few times, then puree for about 20 seconds. You don't want it to get too liquefied or it'll just end up being more milk than a milkshake consistency.
Step 2: Once the shake is totally combined, pour the mixture out evenly into serving cups. This recipe makes two 12 oz. milkshakes, so adjust accordingly if you're having more company over to celebrate!
Step 3: Top the milkshake with whipped cream and add some green sprinkles or edible glitter to get in the St. Paddy's Day spirit! You can even add a festive straw to complete the look. (Take a look to see how we've made party straws for holidays here!)
Super simple and SUPER delicious. It's like all the joy of getting ice cream after school when you were a kid mixed with a blissful buzz. Happy hour, indeed!
