Create Your Very Own Boozy Mint Frappe

Asset 2

With the warm weather inching closer and closer, it's time to make our favorite treats that will keep us cool. On today's episode of Bottoms Up with Whitney Adams, we're making something that'll cool you down on those hot summer days, and give you a little kick as well! Say hello to these tasty mint frappes that are not only boozy, but they're functional too (they DO have caffeine!).

Say hello to our first episode of Bottoms Up with wine lady, entertainer and party enthusiast Whitney Adams! This week, Whitney created fused two of her favorite things together (caffeine and alcohol), to create a decadent and refreshing boozy mint frappe that will leave you wanting more for those hot spring and summer days. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Start off by grabbing one of the most important ingredients in this little concoction. Add 3/4 cup of your favorite mint chip ice cream to the blender for that cool and refreshing sweet start.

Step 2: Add 1/2 cup of milk to the blender. If you prefer almond milk, soy milk, or any other milk, feel free to add it in as a non-dairy replacement.

Step 3: Next, time to add your caffeine! Add 3/4 cup of brewed coffee into the mix. It helps if this is cold as well, just to not make the mix warm.

Step 4: Time to add the “flavor enhancers”! Grab 2 ounces of Irish cream liqueur to amp up even more of that coffee flavor in the mix with a bit of booze.

Step 5: Next, add an even more refreshing kick to your boozy frappe but adding 2 ounces of creme de menthe to the blender.

Step 6: Next, it’s time to bring in the ice. Top off the mix in the blender with 3/4 cups, and blend away until it’s fully blended and frothy.

Step 7: Next, bring in your chocolate syrup and caramel and generously add both syrups to the inside of the glass that you will be serving your frappes in. Feel free to get artsy with this one – this will look pretty cool when you add the mint frappe in.

Step 8: Pour in your blended frappe into the glass to the top, and you will see how cool it looks when the caramel you added stays put in the glass.

Step 9: Top your frappe with some whipped cream, and add as much (or as little) as you’d like without having it spill over the glass.

Step 10: Time to finish the drink and garnish! Add a few mint leaves (we are making a boozy mint frappe, right), and since we are going for decadence, feel free to add another spritz of caramel and chocolate on top of the whipped cream!

And just like that (and in 10 easy steps), you have your sweet and refreshing boozy mint frappe that will be a summer favorite!
