This is an easy way to add a pop of color to not only a lamp but an entire room! The simplicity allows you to choose your own adventure when it comes to design. We chose an ombre blue dot.
- lamp shade
- yarn pom poms
- hot glue gun or glue dots
- ruler
- pencil
Step 1: Decide your design and mark where you want your pom poms to go. We marked a grid of one-inch dashes horizontally and vertically around the shade.
Step 2: We divided the poms by shade and chose the order of pom placement (from dark on top getting lighter as we went down the shade). For us, that worked out to be two pom poms of each color to complete the pattern.
Step 3: Dab hot glue onto the pencil marks, and stick the pom poms on according to the pattern (or not, get crazy!).
Step 4: The end result is a dressed-up, custom lampshade for a fraction of the cost.
