Bella Hadid and The Weeknd Reportedly Back On

It’s been a wild ride full of ups and downs for Bella Hadid and The Weeknd over the past few years. The on-again-off-again pair has been keeping us guessing at their relationship status, but it seems they both ‘feel it coming’ once again (sorry).

Last Thursday, Bella and The Weeknd were spotted at the Magnum ice cream party at the Cannes Film Festival in France looking quite cozy together, and even sharing a few sweet kisses. Not only were Bella and The Weeknd photographed snuggling and kissing, but they were also caught leaving the party together at the end of the night.

Later in the weekend, the pair checked out a film together.

Snacking on ice cream? Catching a flick? It almost sounds like Bella and The Weeknd are akin to a *normal* couple.

Could this mean the musician-supermodel power pair is back on for good?

First, let’s take a walk down memory lane.

The adorable duo first met at Coachella in summer 2015. The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye) was performing, and over the course of the weeknd (er, weekend), he and the model really “clicked.”

Throughout the rest of 2015, the relationship really heated up, and the pair reportedly went on double dates with Bella’s sister Gigi and then-boyfriend Cody Simpson as well as Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger. The Weeknd even bought Bella a Yorkie puppy, who she named Hendrix.

As 2016 approached, though, the pair broke up due to their schedules. After a few more make-ups and breakups, The Weeknd allegedly started dating Selena Gomez in early 2017, prompting Bella to unfollow him on Instagram.

After all they’ve been through, though, it seems like the pair’s affection for one another has never quite dimmed. Selena Gomez has since moved on from The Weeknd to rekindle things with her longtime love, Justin Bieber, and although Bella has been linked to rapper Drake and NBA star Jordan Clarkson, those rumours have since died out.

E! News reported that a source told them Bella “never really lost feeling for Abel and had hope they would eventually get back together.” The source also said they’ve been seeing each other secretly, but aren’t officially back on just yet.

If Gigi’s on-again-off-again relationship with Zayn Malik is any indication, it could be a while before either of these tall bombshells settle down for good. And with their looks, who could blame them?
