Someone Proposed at a Taylor Swift Meet and Greet

It’s a love story, baby just say yes.

These iconic Taylor Swift song lyrics became a reality for one lucky couple Friday night when a man named Anthony (read: the most romantic guy, probably ever) got down on one knee and popped the question to his girlfriend, Stephanie, during a meet and greet with the songstress.

“They walk into the meet and greet and he says “We met 5 years ago at the Red Tour” and then….. 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
#thirdwheel,” Swift captioned three priceless snaps of her shocked expression while watching the proposal.

Anthony made a Twitter account called “Philadelphia Show Proposal” at the beginning of June in an attempt to get Swift’s attention prior to the concert, but he was never able to reach her or a rep until the day of, when he and Stephanie were randomly selected for a meet and greet (talk about fate!). He posted the full story of the proposal on the account, complete with all the adorable details:

“Taylor was genuinely happy for us and made this proposal a dream come true! Meeting her was everything we expected and more. Thanks to both Taylor and TN (Taylor Nation) for making our dreams come true,” he wrote in a series of notes on Twitter.

The couple met while living in the same neighbourhood, and Anthony writes that they first began to fall for each other when they attended the Red Tour together five years ago. He even went so far as to credit Swift as one of the main reasons the couple is still together.

The newly engaged couple celebrated their big news by coming back for round two of Swift’s show the next night. Anthony and Stephanie had shirts made of the unforgettable moment, and the bride-to-be showed off her ring for the cameras.

Indeed, the entire weekend in Philadelphia seemed to be one for the books. Swift herself posted a dazzling snap of the crowd on the first night, writing “PHILLY I LOVE YOU!!!!”
