The Duchess of Cambridge Wows Us All With Her Photography Skills

Not only is she beautiful, intelligent and athletic, but Kate Middleton is a talented photographer, too. The Duchess of Cambridge counted photography as one of her many hobbies for years before she married into the royal family, and she even helped take photos for her family’s business, Party Pieces.

Kate recently became a lifetime honorary member of the Royal Photographic Society, a British charity that works to educate the public on photography. The society said they are “pleased to recognise her talents and enthusiasm through honorary membership. We look forward to a continuing relationship with her.”

Kate first made waves with her photography when she chose to forgo tradition and snap the first photos of her second born child, Princess Charlotte, back in 2015.

Most recently, Kate wowed the world again with the first official photos of her and Prince William’s third child, His Royal Highness Prince Louis Arthur Charles, who was born April 23. The sweet images, taken on May 2 (Princess Charlotte’s third birthday) at Kensington Palace, show the Princess kissing the newborn on the head as he sleeps soundly in an adorable white outfit.

Prince Louis seems to take after his mom in the looks department, with big blue eyes and dark hair, while Prince George and Princess Charlotte have lighter locks.

The photos are priceless, and they definitely do justice to Kate’s skills as a photographer. Although George, Charlotte and Louis have been her most common photography subjects in recent years, the Duchess also snapped some stellar shots during her and Prince William’s tour through South East Asia and the South Pacific in 2012, including an ethereal landscape view of Mount Kinabalu shrouded in mist and an endangered orangutan swinging from a tree.

The duchess studied art history at the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland, so it comes as no surprise that she would have a good eye when it comes to aesthetics. She’s also a fan of painting, as well as more active pursuits like sailing, swimming and tennis. It seems there’s nothing this royal mama can’t do (except vote, eat shellfish, accept gifts, or show any specific political affiliation, that is).

Despite his royal cuteness, Prince Louis will probably be left at home while the rest of the family celebrates the hotly anticipated nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19 at Windsor Castle. With his looks, though, it shouldn’t be too hard for Kate and Wills to track down a babysitter.
