Justin Bieber is Engaged to Model Hailey Baldwin

Just weeks after reuniting with ex-flame, Hailey Baldwin, Justin Bieber has proposed to the 21-year-old model. The pair became engaged over the weekend in Bahamas, and sources say they’re “so in love.”

A source told E! News that Bieber planned for the proposal before they flew into Baker’s Bay, Bahamas on July 6. He bought a ring in New York City beforehand, and judging by the photos, it’s just as spectacular as you’d imagine.

For those who have been following recent #Jailey sightings, the engagement should come as no surprise. The pair have been spotted PDA-ing it up in Miami, NYC and Los Angeles, and it seems they’ve been inseparable over the past several weeks.

The couple’s speedy engagement comes just days after Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, who have been together for just over a month, made headlines with their own engagement. Since Grande and Bieber share the same manager, Scooter Braun, some fans are speculating that both engagements are PR stunts.

However, Grande put the PRomance rumours to rest in a tweet she’s since deleted:

“You do realize we are human beings who love and have lives …… right ….? And that Scooter is a wonderful human being too who cares first n foremost ab [sic] our health and happiness? Love is lit. Sh*t happens. I hope to god it happens to you too. U deserve it,” she wrote back to a tweet accusing Braun of orchestrating Bieber and Grande’s engagements.

Indeed, love does seem to be lit, judging by the recent pictures and videos of Jailey that have surfaced online, including a sweet video of the pair dancing in the Bahamas.

Not only does the young couple seem smitten, but it seems their families are overjoyed at the news, too. Since their engagement, both Bieber’s and Baldwin’s parents have written congratulatory posts on social media:

“Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!” Bieber’s father wrote via Instagram.

Meanwhile, Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, simply tweeted the word “love” seven times in a row on Saturday.

And on the Baldwin side, Hailey’s father, Stephen, tweeted an emotional congratulatory message, tagging Bieber’s parents. Baldwin deleted the tweet not long after it was posted:

The couple’s engagement comes after years of on-again-off-again dating, not only between Bieber and Baldwin, but also between Bieber and his longtime love, Selena Gomez. Fans of Gomez took to Twitter to celebrate the end of their complicated relationship, starting the hashtag #SelenaIsFreeParty.

Say what you will about #Jailey, but for now, it seems as though there’s One Less Lonely Girl out there. Congrats, lovebirds!
