Teen Mom Star Farrah Abraham Charged with Battery and Resisting an Officer Following a Fight in Beverly Hills

Adult film actress and reality TV personality Farrah Abraham has been charged with one count of misdemeanour battery and a misdemeanour count of resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer after getting in a fight at the Beverly Hills Hotel last month.

ET Online reports that the Teen Mom star was arrested June 13 for allegedly hitting a security guard with her forearm and grabbing his ear when he wouldn’t allow her back inside the hotel. Apparently, the incident started with a “verbal altercation” between Abraham and hotel guests, and things escalated when the star wouldn’t detach herself from the situation.

The Beverly Hills Police Department said she was showing signs of intoxication at the time, and that the investigation is ongoing.

A rep for Abraham told ET that the situation was “blown out of proportion” and that the 27-year-old is often misrepresented on TV:

“Farrah is a powerhouse and was having a business meeting in the hotel where the alleged incident happened,” the rep said. “She is a very sweet and ambitious young woman who has been portrayed in a biased light on a reality TV show for many years.”

The reality star clapped back to the haters via Instagram on June 13, sharing a screenshot from a TMZ article about the incident and a long caption about the injustice of the situation:

“The Beverly Hills Police officers should stop having power trips and lying and selling stories to TMZ, while you let all of Beverly Hills be robbed, car break ins, stealing go on… focus on really protecting the public and doing good for Beverly Hills instead of creating made up problems. #farrahabraham,” she wrote to her 1.3 million followers.

Abraham was charged on Monday, July 16, and it seemed her week only declined further from there. On Wednesday, July 18, the reality star shared via social media that her beloved dog, Blue, had passed away unexpectedly.

“I had to share this as this doesn’t even seem real tonight we lost a best friend, a little brother to my daughter & most adorable Pomeranian BLUE, I remember like yesterday bringing him home to Sophia from Florida and having Blue in our lives for 5 years now brought such a sense of love, support, relief, joy, fun & so much more I’ll be grateful for the rest of my life,” she wrote in a heart-wrenching post on Instagram.

In the post, Abraham shared that she will be having the dog stuffed so he can be “brought back home again soon.”

Abraham’s case is scheduled for arraignment on August 13.
