The Duchess of Sussex Wears Chic Frock for Prince Harry’s Polo Match

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle supported her new husband, Prince Harry, and his brother, Prince William, at the 2018 Audi Polo Challenge last weekend. The Duchess of Sussex cheered on the players at the Coworth Park Polo Club in Ascot, England on Saturday and Sunday, and of course she looked effortlessly chic throughout the weekend.

Saturday, Markle wore a sleeveless gingham dress with eyelet detail and a matching belt. The midi frock by Shoshanna created the perfect breezy look for the day, and it’s no surprise the piece is already sold out completely.

Markle accessorized the look with a pair of Sarah Flint brown leather sandals, sunglasses, and a hat by Madewell x Biltmore to shield against the summer sun. The look was totally chic, casual and completely accessible for any normal woman heading to a summer get-together.

Sunday, the day that would have marked Princess Diana’s 57th birthday, Markle showed up to the polo match in a crisp white button-down shirt, black capri pants, black flats and the same hat she wore Saturday (it’s no surprise the hat is completely sold out, too!). Again, the Duchess’s look was fresh, casual and perfectly summer-appropriate.

Prince Harry and Prince William wore white polo shirts, white pants and boots as they were, you know, playing polo.

Also in attendance at the annual charity event were superstar tennis player, Serena Williams, her husband Alexis Ohanian, and actor Eddie Redmayne, who played on the same rugby team as Prince William at Eton.

The polo match is significant for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as last year’s event was their first public appearance together as a couple. The pair were spotted kissing at the 2017 event, and six months later, they were engaged. Ah, memories!

The Audi Polo Challenge is dedicated to charity organizations Sentebale and WellChild, of which Prince Harry is patron.
