This is Not a Drill: Eminem and Nicki Minaj Could Be Dating

Are they, or aren’t they? Rumours that rap powerhouses Eminem and Nicki Minaj had fused together to become the ultimate rapping power couple surfaced last week when the song Big Bank, featuring 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj, dropped Friday.

In her verse, Minaj raps, “Told em’ I met Slim Shady, bagged a Em/Once he go black, he’ll be back again,” suggesting, well, you get it.

Later, the female rapper posted a video to Instagram, lip syncing along to the song.

When a fan commented on the post asking if she was dating Eminem, she responded with a simple “yes.” Then, Eminem himself jumped in, commenting, “girl, you know it’s true.”

Who said it was tough to get information out of celebrities when it comes to their love lives? How refreshing to get a clear-cut answer for once!

However, things turned questionable when Minaj responded to Eminem:

“Babe, I thought we were gonna keep it on the low til the wedding. Yikes. I’ll talk to you when I get home,” she joked.

Then, while giving a concert in Boston, Eminem mentioned the rumours to his audience, asking fans if they wanted him to date Minaj.

“Well, god dammit, me too. Nicki, if you get this message, just text me later, we’ll talk about it,” Eminem said to the crowd. His response prompted Minaj to gush about her love for the rapper via Twitter.

“Love him so much,” she wrote. “Em we need you on the #Queen album. That’s where our 1st date will be; at the studio while I gaze into ur beautiful eyes as u write ur verse.”

Hmm… None of this is sounding very couple-y, after all.

While the most epic power couple in rap history is still a very real possibility, it seems for now, Minaj and Eminem will remain just two friends who like to joke around together.

In the past, Eminem has been linked to stars like Mariah Carey, Brittany Murphy and Britney Spears, while Nicki Minaj has dated rappers Meek Mill, Nas and Safaree Samuels, who she was involved with on-and-off for 12 years.
